Humanist Values and Today’s Challenges
Increasing political polarization and the rise of Authoritarian Regimes around the world present challenges to humanist values and create danger for many of those espousing humanist values. In many places expressing humanist values puts your life at risk. Humanism and democracy itself are under threat. I will share my experience at the World Humanist Congress that took place in August along with the resolution adopted by Humanists International – The Copenhagen Declaration on Democracy: a humanist value.
