As we celebrate our country's freedom on July 4th, it calls to mind an old saying, "Uncle Sam Needs You"!  Well, I would like to borrow it and say "NoVES Needs You!".  Our organization relys on volunteers to get everything done and they are crucial to our survival. And volunteering has its benefits- it can bring you closer to other members, give you a chance to learn new skills  and provide a fulfillment to know you are helping this organization to not just survive, but thrive!

Below is a list of some of the current volunteer needs of the society:

Sunday Sound System Setup team- 3 more volunteers needed- are you good with tech and computers? We need people to set up our sound system once a month so we can offer zoom participation for our meetings. 

Bookkeeper- 1 volunteer needed- do you have basic office and banking skills?  We currently have a temporary interim bookkeeper, but need someone to take on the responsibility as soon as possible

Platform Committee- 3 volunteers needed- are you good with people and calendars? We need a team to find speakers and organize the yearly schedule.

Festival Planning- 2 volunteers needed- are you  creative and artistic? We need people to help our festivals be fun and inviting. 

Publicity- 2 voluneers needed- are you savvy about platforms like Instagram and Tiktok?   We need someone young (or young at heart) to help us navigate these exciting platforms for getting our name out there
