This is intended as a guide for NoVES committees, teams, and task forces. In most cases it refers to skills and responsibilities of the committee as a whole, not of individuals.
| Skills needed: | Approved by Leader and board. Interested in leadership issues. Is discrete with confidential information. |
| Responsibilities: | Meet at least six times a year with professional Leader to discuss leadership issues identified by the Leader and examine the context in which leadership functions. Facilitate open dialogue, build trust and maintain confidentiality. (This is a “closed” committee.) Provide feedback to, and be a sounding board for, the Leader. Work with the Leader to improve their effectiveness within the Society. Recommend to the Board and the Leader items to consider regarding the terms and conditions of leadership, and on priorities for Leadership activities. Recommend specific actions, and shares general feedback, regarding context and performance of Leader. Evaluate interaction of Leader and the society. Provide support to the DRE. |
| Member Term: | 2 years with an option to extend. |
| Measurement of Success: | Leader and DRE feel supported and all issues are aired. |
