Jerry Ziskind Memorial Workshop
You're invited to join Arthur Dobrin, author and teacher, at the Vienna Community Center on February 15, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. for an interactive workshop on How to Raise a Moral Child. The presenter offers hope that raising moral and caring children is something that can be achieved with the right attention and reinforcement.
As parents, do we have a successful plan for teaching right from wrong all worked out? Or do we still struggle with the challenges of raising honest, thoughtful, and compassionate children?
As parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, and others who play a role in children's lives, we are faced with many questions including about our own actions, values, and priorities. Added to this are mixed messages bombarding children from friends, the internet, and the rest of our culture. Children are subject to peer pressure; they are also influenced by many questionable role models. Raising children doesn’t come with a manual and this job is a thorny one! Well, take a deep breath, because help and support is on the way.
