Dear Etty,
Dear Etty,
The other day, a friend told me that she was furious with another member. She explained that after she and the other member disagreed over using her wording for a flyer, the other member issued the flyer with his wording. “After all,” he declared, “someone had to make a decision because we had promised that it would be issued on time.” My friend is really angry over this slight. I am not sure how to view this mess.
Halloween! For me, the most wonderful time of year. Thanksgiving has its moments of family gatherings, feasting, and reflecting on what is positive in our lives. Christmas and Hanukah have their themes of light and good will toward men. But, for pure unadulterated fun, nothing beats Halloween.
Dear Etty,
I am bothered by people on the political left and right calling each other terrible names just because they disagree with each other over prescriptions for improving our country. I see spillover when members within our Ethical Society sometimes have little patience with each other. Are we permitted to have a difference of opinion, make a mistake, or do things differently?

Dear Etty,
Dear Etty,
ETHICAL ETTY Advice for the Ethically Minded – “Doctor, it hurts in seven different places!” Doctor replies, “Don’t go to those places.” Badda Boom.
Dear Etty,
Dear Etty,
At first, colleagues argued with me when I offered an idea. Then they began to reject my ideas right off the bat. Recently, they have begun to ignore my proposals. Is there an ethical approach to resolving differences?
Annoyed
Dear Etty,
I wonder about criticism at platform. During the audience response, I sometimes hear critical statements aimed at the speaker. If platform speakers are like guests at our home, shouldn’t we refrain from criticism? How do manners intersect with ethics?
Comportment Matters
Dear CM,

The price of the democratic way of life is a growing appreciation of people's differences, not merely as tolerable, but as the essence of a rich and rewarding human experience.
