1 - Members Email List

To sign up to receive periodic announcements about Society events and activities, visitors and others interested in the Society can subscribe to an email list called "Members." All you need is an email address and one-time access to a web browser.  (You don't need to also sign up for the "Announce" email list; you'll get the same announcements sent to that list.)

The volume of emails on this list ranges from 1-30 emails per month. To keep the volume low and the messages related directly to events and activities visitors may find interesting, only designated individuals (for example, the President, Leader, Publicity Chair) can send messages directly to this email list.

To discuss or respond to posts on the Members list, please use the Dialogue list.

Email addresses of the subscribers are visible only to our volunteer list administrators, not to other members of the list or to the general public. We do not share these addresses with any other organization.

If you're a member of NoVES, and aren't already receiving emails from the Members email list:

  • Check your spam or junk filters to make sure you can receive email from members @ novesmail.org and mailman-bounced @ novesmail.org -- every email program has different settings so check directions that came with your email program for further details.
  • Were you once subscribed, but aren't getting messages now?
    • If emails bounced to your current address, your subscription might have been automatically disabled.
    • If you've changed your email address, it might not be changed for the Members list.
    • You can fix either issue if you still have one of those monthly reminder emails about your Members subscription, with your password in it, or remember the password:
      • Visit Members Email List, scroll down to the section "Members Subscribers," and enter your (old) email address and password
    • If that doesn't work or you for any reason want assistance, visit the Contact Form on this website and use the pulldown menu to address your request for help to the category "website feedback"
  • If you've never been subscribed, and you're a member of the Society, visit the Contact Form on this website and use the pulldown menu to address your request for help to the category "website feedback"
